Syria's war: Escape difficult from Hayt village

The week-old ceasefire in southwest Syria appears to be holding, but that is of little comfort for the people of Hayt.

Their village is almost entirely surrounded by fighters belonging to the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) group and there is only one way out.

The rural community could be a vital territorial acquisition for ISIL, also known as ISIS.

By day, they continue working in the fields and at night, pray the sons, brothers and fathers of this village can keep them safe from ISIL.
